Preparations began early to ensure all was tasty and tender. Many hands joined in to get the event ready for the members and their friends to enjoy.
Come the hour, the sun stayed out and the garden setting was not affected by the wind. The chat flowed and the jokes weren’t bad either!
Not only was smoked lamb on the menu but a plethora of traditional BBQ meat fayre, pasta salads, green salads, the host’s special tomato and mozzerella dish, coleslaw and lots of other tasty bites were on offer.
As if that wasn’t enough the sweets went down a treat with cherry, chocolate and amaretto pavlova, tiramisu and banoffee pie being particular favourites.
Enjoyed by all, ticket sales, donations and a very popular, well supported raffle meant the afternoon event raised £1000! The Worshipful Master thanked everyone involved for their hard work and enthusiasm and also those who attended and gave generously to achieve this magnificent sum.
