The first meeting of the Masonic Year saw a new Worshipful Master installed. Following tradition the members and their guests had a mid meeting break with a hot drinks and a rock cake (or two!) or a chocolate brownie. On this occasion the incoming Worshipful Master did his first ‘Bake Off’ ever and made the rock cakes himself!
The Membership Officer also got invloved as he was known to make a mean brownie! Along with the ladies who served the teas etc they made up a great team!
The second half of the meeting went off to plan then lots of chatter and a good atmosphere prevailed before they all headed off to the Festive Board.
Meanwhile some of the wives and partners held their own ‘Dine Out’ event at a local Bistro and enjoyed their prawns, burger, fish, lamb or hanging Cajun chicken skewers before indulging in chocolate fondant with popcorn ice-cream!
A good time was had by all and now the work for a busy year ahead begins.
