Members and visitors enjoyed the atmosphere and meal at the LOI Supper where an update was made to the menu! Traditionally it used to be steak and kidney pie as the main event but this year a more modern but similar main course came to the table – steak and ale pie!!
The three course meal went down well and was thouroughly enjoyed by all.

The After Dinner Speaker this year was John Dowling who is President of the Bexhill Hospital League of Friends. He ran through not only the interesting history of Bexhill Hospital but also covered the many things such as high tech equipment that the League has donated and the building alterations that they had funded. The amount raised and spent over the years goes into the millions of pounds.

Recently the hospital has become the main opthalmic department for the local trust and benefitted from lots of support from the Friends including £ 480,000 worth of equipment for the New Day Eye Surgery.
The hospital is truly a treasure for the locals in particular but also those from the surrounding area and we thank the Bexhill League of Friends for their interest in keeping the hospital up-to-date for us all.
