Sovereign Light met tonight
To have some jolly fun
They started off with good food
That was eaten and soon done
Then came the main attraction
Came to play and let us sing
Lewes, Glynde and Beddingham
Enjoy the brass band ring
Carols got us in the mood
Songs to sing as well
Instruments so clear and bright
Said enjoy our sound tonight
Jolly holly Christmas started
With lots of fun said we
Crackers and decorations
And a lovely Christmas tree
We all joined in the fun
Sang with hearty voice
Smiled and felt quite happy
Christmas to rejoice
So we all said thank you
For them giving up their time
To come and play their instruments
It really was sublime
A really good start to Christmas time
Countdown is now on
Money for charity too
Lots raised tonight, we knew
Oh how the crooners loved you
And they shouted out with glee
Lewes, Glynde and Beddingham
