It was a family affair as members, their families and dogs came along to support the yellow welly presentation!
The Royal Sovereign Light Lodge Team were meeting with the RNLI team at Sovereign Harbour to hand over the final cheque of the year.
This brought the total raised for Eastbourne Lifeboats in the last masonic season to
£5758.50
Treasurer Keith Stevens and James Wishman, the Lifeboat Mechanic both expressed their thanks as they received the cheque from the lodge Grand Officer.
The money raised will be spent on local priorities for the team of volunteers and the two boats kept at the two locations in Eastbourne.
Following the event ‘Uncle Tom Cobbly and all’ were invited for hot drinks and delicious cakes at the home of the Grand Officer. A good morning all round!
