It was cold, frosty and a bit snowy but it was warm inside and a good time to meet friends old and new. The christmas tree trail was entrancing.

The ‘Winter Wonderland’ tree was just one of the trees on the trail. The ‘Fun’ tree was full of lighthearted decorations including a popcorn machine, candy canes, a glamourous handbag and father christmas on his motorbike to name but a few. There was even the upside down tree! Yes, this really was upside down and themed with different house shaped baubles for humans and birds. (see a selection of the trees on the trail in the gallery below )
The group jigsaw and finding the magic number all added to the event which raised much appreciated funds for Eastbourne Lifeboat. The coffee or mulled wine, with warm mince pies and sausage rolls, was really good too!

A model Father Christmas named ‘Arthur’ was presented to Wendy who was thrilled.

Arthur was immediatley loved and now has the job of guarding the trees.

Thanks to Wendy, Geoff and all of the helpers for their hard work and inviting us to feel and enjoy the spirit of Christmas.
